Beauty in the devolution of place, the waning and aging of architecture.  Fascinated by the details and detritus of lingering industries and urban corridors.  Gritty, hard, dirty, anchored, built, strewn, formidable, unrepentant.  Bare and serene.....punctuated by collision.

"Wisdom of Voices", Voices of Wisdom Exhibition, Sabes JCC Gallery, Minneapolis, MN 2016

Material/Size:                    Anodized Aluminum, Laser Etching, Barbed Wire / 12' x 24"

Wisdom is found in the multitude of Jewish voices heard throughout history.  Rabbinic and Talmudic scholars, scientists, academics, historians, philosophers, entertainers, athletes, lawyers, doctors, politicians, jurists, businesspeople, writers and artists all contribute to the great body of wisdom found within Judaism. A wiki list (certainly not exhaustive) of 950 American Jewish “artists” including architects, cartoonists, composers, photographers, singers, songwriters, visual artists, authors, journalists, playwrights and poets are etched as running background and surround the void of the holocaust when wisdom froze and silence screamed.
